Tonight’s Honorary Captains are the coaches of the Independence Junior High Football Teams. These coaches work with our Junior High football players to help teach them fundamentals and prepare them for their next level of football. This season, the 7th Grade team finish 5-1 with wins over Benton Community, Mount Vernon, Vinton-Shellsburg, South Tama County, and Dyersville Beckman. The 8th Grade team also finished 4-1-1 with wins over those same teams along with a tie against Dyersville-Beckman. The 7th Grade team is coached by Bob Beatty and Chad Beatty, while the 8th Grade team is coached by Michael Doyle, Jason Penner, and Brian Reidy.
