Independence will travel to Humboldt to take on the Wildcats in the Quarterfinals of the 2021 IHSAA Football Playoffs. This is the first time in history that Independence has made the Quarterfinals of the IHSAA Playoffs. This will be the 2nd time in history that Independence will play Humboldt, the first being in 1946 where Humboldt won in Independence 26-7.
